about our new CD

Well it took them long enough, but it's here. With Danny getting married, starting a family, moving into a new house, Shawn and his wife, Kelli moving to Annapolis and Glen also making the move to Naptown, it's no wonder this project took forever.

Then after Danny built a new recording studio, the band was able to finally complete all the tracking for this project. Sometimes when engineering and producing your own music, musicians get a little too critical (actually crazy) about every single tone and note. It can drive you nuts. Anyway, stepping back and getting away from the project for awhile, is what the ears need.

This record was recorded live as a three piece band. 3JR felt this method worked best for them because you can hear the passion, emotion and yes the imperfections. No triggers, no sampling, no cut and paste(ing) with Pro Tools was done on this record. The overdubs were added to complete the songs.

We'd like thank some folks for helping us get this thing together. Mike Fanuele ( Dashboard Confessional ) for so much advice on recording and engineering, Ken Navarro ( Positive Music) for legal music-biz advice and inspiration to get this thing done. Bruce Falkinburg @ The Barn for putting the final touches during the mastering process. The great CD art work by Trevor Martin Design. Photograph by Kelli Grimes. Howie Grossenbacher (banjo), Kristy Lupejkis (keyboards) and Paul Micheal Nathen (wicked harp) for their musical input to the record. Mike Harbin and all the folks at Furnace MFG. and A-var Records.

Danny
